The Slat Lkahal Synagogue is situated above the main alley of the Mellah, in the northern part of the Medina of Essaouira (Mogador). This historic Jewish quarter has been a symbol of the Jewish presence in Mogador for centuries.

Next Steps
With the preliminary phases of roof repair (2011–2012) and facade restoration (2013–2014) completed, the association continues to advance the project. Future phases will focus on interior rehabilitation and the development of the permanent exhibition halls.
The project has obtained the necessary administrative authorizations, ensuring full compliance with local regulations governing heritage sites in the Medina of Essaouira.
